FCRA PROJECT: THE COCA-COLA FOUNDATION GRANTS

The Coca-Cola
Foundation is our Company's primary international philanthropic arm.
Founded in 1984, the Foundation was established in the U.S. as a registered
501(c)(3) charitable organization. Foundations grants are awarded throughout
the year on business plan priorities, tax requirements, legal compliance and
approval by the Foundation's Board of Directors.
All requests for
community support in the form of grants or sponsorships for consideration by The Coca-Cola
Company, The Coca-Cola Foundation or
any of its affiliated regional foundations must be submitted through our online application system.
Overview:
TheCoca-Cola
Company is a local business on a global scale. As our business has expanded
over the years, so has our community support grown to create and support
projects most relevant to local communities around the globe. We are committed
to investing our time, expertise and resources to help develop and maintain
vibrant, sustainable and local communities.
The
At the Coca-Cola
Foundation, we help keep that commitment every day by partnering with
organizations around the globe to support initiatives and programs that respond
in a meaningful way to community needs and priorities.
Through our global
foundation, established in 1984 and funded by The Coca-Cola
Company, we are concentrating our community support in several priority
areas. Across the globe, we support initiatives focused on:
- Water Stewardship
To support access to clean water and sanitation,
watershed protection in water-stressed regions, utilization of water for
production and or multiple use systems that do more than provide clean drinking
water, education and awareness programs that promote water conservation within
communities and industry.
- Healthy and Active Lifestyles
To support access to exercise, physical activity and
nutritional education programs, programs that motivate behavior modification,
and programs that encourage lifestyle/behavioral changes
- Community Recycling
To increase liter abatement efforts, advance recovery
and reuse, increase community recycling awareness, and support research and innovation.
- Education
To support scholarships, school drop-out prevention, access to education programs, and other education initiatives, per local business unit priorities
In Africa, Europe,
Latin America, North America and the Pacific, we support student scholarships
and other educational programs and initiatives. HIV/AIDS prevention and
awareness programs are also community priorities in Africa and Latin America.
Our community
commitment is shared across the Coca-Cola system.
When natural disasters strike, The Coca-Cola
Foundation and the entire Coca-Cola system respond to
offer emergency relief. Through the Coca-Cola
Matching Gifts Program, eligible employees make personal contributions to
qualified organizations and The Coca-Cola Foundation
matches those contributions on a 2-for-1 basis.
